November in Middle America
As clinic season comes to an end in Middle America, retailers and shredders alike stand perched for the first snow and their first chance to go ride. Black Friday looming in next few days will set the season into high gear as we all wait for the snow guns to kick on.
Swiss Valley MI. has a rad display for the Era board,
Owner Missy Wiseman claims
that is her old Maiden shirt.
Speaking of Missy her son
(young jedi) Tyson New,
Gets a few cameo appearances
in the new Warren Miller film "Dynasty".
Tyson and his big brother Mason
got to film with Warren Miller's
crew when they made a stop in Michigan last season.
After a long drive through Indiana-Michigan-Ohio-Kentucky-Tennessee-Georgia I got to catch up with alot of folks... whether it's buddy's like(Chris Aster and his crew) at Ferdl Aster's(The smallest shop in the world to carry the Flow 24Real's.
To yet another railjam set up by Brian Papworth of Mad River Mountain and his Capitol Park(that recently got a killer write up in the Dec. issue of Snowboard Mag.)Here Flow rep rider Jen Cusick throws down at the Valleywood Ski Shop/Capitol Park railjam.
After a clinic with the dudes at Ambush Board Co.(The sickest shop in the south hands down.)
, I go hang out with Jonesy from Dodge City in Chattanooga Tn. Here Jonesy jibs the "Vitual Snow" machine they have there at the shop. The tour ends with another Capitol Park railjam"Winter is Back from The Dead" this time in Oxford Oh. sponsored by G-Rides. Below Mid West Flow Riders Dru Williams and Jen Cusisk mess around on a warm Saturday afternoon in.

SARKA TAKES THE TTR LEAD AFTER PLEASURE JAM...
What a weekend for FLOW!! Sarka Pancochova takes for the first time ever the lead in the TTR women's ranking with a 4th place at the Pleasure Jam.
That is also the first time for FLOW that a female team rider makes it to the top spot.
Only two years ago, she wouldn’t even have thought that this would be possible. „I hope I can manage to stay there [in World No.1] for longer. I will try to kill it at the European Open.” says Sarka after the event. „I can do that. I have the tricks but sometimes it is just the wrong time or I choose the wrong trick.“
The entire Flow Team congratulates Sarka for adding another success to her young career and we are happy to have you on the team!

In 1990 I was born in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands. When I was 5 years old I started inline skating until I discovered skateboarding when I was 9. After 5 years of skateboarding, in 2004, someone took me to the indoor hall in my hometown, where I got into snowboarding. The nearest mountains are about a thousand kilometers away from where I live; a hundred meters under the sealevel. Ever since I graduated high school I am free to travel to the mountains as much as I want, enjoying my life and trying to make the most of it, with big support from my sponsors Roxy and Flow. I love being out there in the mountains with friends, forgetting about everything. In the meanwhile I’m still doing a lot of skateboarding. For updates during the season check out my website www.brittevanderpouw.com

Indian Summer
As Indian summer ascends on “Middle America” the stoke is the only thing that is still growing. The Flow crew showed up at the “"Aspen in Wonderland" at Antrim Park in Columbus.” (presented by Aspen Ski and Board and Capitol Park of Mad River Mountain) to find that this epic yearly event was gonna get down and dirty. (Below random Ohio shred gangster gets a little downtown brown on his XXXL jerz.)
(Below Middle America Flow riders Dru Williams and Kevin Sayler take over the wall right before the sun goes down on Columbus)
(Below New Middle America rider Jen Cusick gets the hook up on a pair of Essence bindings and has a new BFF on the way. I’ve been watching Jen shred for a year or two now at almost every Mid West snowboard event,team43 and I are stoked she will be riding Flow product this season)
The next morning bright and squirrelly (hundreds of miles from Columbus) and after a late night of shoveling Zamboni shavings. Middle America Tech-Rep/Rider Dru and his homie Kal “The Skier” set’s up another jib session for open house at Paoli Peaks Indiana(my home mountain). Inside, at Paoli's Pro Shop, me and Flow guy helper bro "J-Pry" aka "J$" are selling through a stack of Flow boards and last years bindings with the Burton guy and Roger "the man in the shorts" the legendary owner of the pro shop. (Below Eli Kean and Dru Williams shred in the 70 degree weather)
